As a strategic centre for rainforest research in our region we provide a dynamic platform for interchange among scientists and conservationists.

We aim to serve as a hub to raise the quality, reach, and impact of environmental education at all levels. In addition, we support targeted programmes to enhance public awareness and effective community engagement, particularly in conjunction with role of the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve as a learning place and demonstration site for conservation and sustainability.

Within our sustainability pillar we support new policies, strategies and paradigm shifts to protect nature and vital ecosystem services, reduce overconsumption and our negative impact on the planet, and embrace regenerative approaches to resource management and land care.
