The Habitat Young Professional Internships were established to give fresh graduates the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and a firm footing for future careers in conservation. This year, our focus is on nurturing science communicators. We are pleased to welcome three talented Malaysians to join our team for the next 12 months.
Ler Wei Rong has a degree in Biology from USM and has a keen interest in community engagement through broadcasting and social media. Ahmad Amir Isqandar studied Bioresources Research at Oregon State University and aspires to contribute to conservation as a filmmaker. Wua Ming Hui has a BA in Malay Language Studies. Aside from being able to communicate effectively in three languages, she is a keen birder and eager to learn about conservation project management. We are excited about working with them to strengthen our education and communications programme and to diversify our offerings to include more Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia content.
