Dr Saw Leng Guan is an expert on Malaysia’s floristic heritage and a national treasure in his own right. He has had a long and distinguished career as a botanist with the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM). He is the author of the Tree Flora of Sabah and Sarawak, and the Flora of Peninsular Malaysia. Dr Saw is a recipient of the prestigious Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) Medal of excellence for his contributions to plant taxonomy. We are fortunate to have Dr Saw as the Curator of the Penang Botanic Gardens. He is an entertaining and captivating speaker whose passion for his subject is contagious!
