Supporting The Conservation Of Biodiversity And Preserving A Living Planet
The Habitat Foundation is a charitable trust based in Penang, Malaysia and the non-profit sister organization of The Habitat Penang Hill.
The two organizations complement each other in the shared mission to connect people to nature through education and outreach. Through our programmatic work we are actively supporting rainforest research, enhancing protected area management, conservation initiatives, and habitat restoration.
The Habitat Foundation is committed to working with a wide range of partners towards finding effective pathways to safeguard the diversity of life and the living environment upon which the future depends.

With The Habitat Penang Hill, we seek to showcase a working model of sustainable financing for protected areas that generate jobs and provide economic benefits for local people.

We support talents among the new generation of scientists, practitioners, policymakers, and community organizers by facilitating strategic training.

The Habitat Foundation’s grants that was given to the Macaca Nemestrina Project has been truly a blessing because ever since the pandemic, the funding opportunities and also the volunteers who helped to sustain the projects before COVID happens has been running out, and so the grant has helped a lot last year to keep us basically “over the water”.
